This photo is courtesy of my friend Mary Kraemer, a MouseEarVacations travel specialist. Mary and her family were on a Disney cruise for Thanksgiving, and Mary's husband Vince took a great photo of BOTH Disney Cruise ships with the Flying Dutchman prop ship there from the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3 movies.

Mary reports that the Wonder sailed by on her "at sea" day, and the two ships exchanged "When You Wish Upon A Star" horn blasts numerous times!

Mary is interested in reading your comments about this, so reply and comment!

That is really cool. It must have ben erally exciting to see the ships. I would have been like OMG! Hahahaha! My Aunt went on a Disney Cruise but the weather wasn't too good and they couldn't go to Castaway Cay. My cousin wants to bring me on one with him. It would be ralyl cool to see that ship. Is it a one time thing?

Flying Dutchman prop ship is at Castaway Cay all the time as an attraction.  Pure "right place, right time" stroke of luck to see both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder ships so close by each other from point of view of the island.  Our friend Mary was hugely lucky!

That must have been so cool to have two passing Disney ships!     You were so lucky Mary. I wonder how often that happens.

Well it was sunny, but too windy to dock. I am still bummed about that.

The only ship that is "passing" is the one on screen right.  Remember, Mary came in on a Disney Cruise ship so it's docked at screen left and not going anywhere, and the Flying Dutchman is permanently docked.  You'd always be able to photograph the Dutchman and the Disney Cruise ship you came in on.

Hello!

From what the crew members said, it is relatively rare to see both Disney ships together. Crew members were pretty excited to see the Wonder also.

It was funny because at dawn on that Friday, I looked out on the horizon and saw the Wonder. It was pretty far away, so I wasn't completely sure, but apparently I was right!

The 'When You Wish Upon A Star' duel was something to hear!
