Hi TV Kirby and Disney Echo visitors....
For some reason the site was down for a few days recently, then when it came back up it locked out the ability to post new messages or "reply" to existing ones. I'm finally able to post to it Sun. Dec. 14.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
However, it's just a fact our site is not maintained by Rich Koster, Site Admin, or me his wife, or maintained by or visited by any former Moderators or former members anymore. In the world of social media, people have migrated away. We're practically a ghost town in late 2014.
TV Kirby still posts when he can and when our site isn't having tech difficulties, so does disneygeek in the Disneyland Forum a couple of times a year.
Coming up are "Making of" Frozen special, the TCM programming block of vintage Disney shows coming up Dec. 21, tonight a one-hour special about Disney's 20 years of Disney Broadway shows, and the Disney Christmas Morning telecast on ABC themed to Frozen.
In case our glitches happen again,
1. For the Turner Classic Movies marathon of Disney shows just visit their website monthly listings to see a full schedule for the "Treasures from the Disney Vault" marathon Sunday Dec. 21 primetime through wee hours of the following Monday morning Dec. 22. Check your cable or satellite listings for local times, programming content, and local channel assignment for TCM. Due to the nature of some of the shows and program descriptions "Disney" as a keyword might NOT always work to find these shows. Since our site is back up and running today I started a separate Topic in the Disney TV Forum with info and the program listings for this marathon block. The new contract agreement TCM now has with Disney, re: airing Disney vintage anything on that channel, calls for "5-6 times a year. It's a matter of reminding yourself to check TCM program listings monthly, knowing something about Disney vintage stuff, and knowing what to look for. Among the shows coming up Dec. 21 is one about the creation of Disneyland !
2. Tell your TiVo or DVR the usual "Disney" keyword to find anything else. Then resolve to check the DVR or TiVo for listings, first, then pick and choose after that what you might want to record.
3. Check TV Kirby's website regularly.
Thanks for all TV Kirby does, sorry for the glitches on the site preventing posting up through today.
