You read that headline right, WDW-goers!

Used to be:  If you stayed on-site at a Disney hotel resort you'd get the extra added free perk (not "free" if you consider if you stay on-site Disney is earning more money off of you, but you know...) of early entry certain mornings of the week to their theme parks before the general public gets in at the published opening hours.  Means if you stay on-site at a Disney owned hotel-or-campground resort, for instance, certain mornings of the week you get privileged early entry to Magic Kingdom, or different mornings at Epcot, or different mornings at Disney Hollywood Studios, or different mornings at Animal Kingdom.  It was a good way to get an early start, beat some of the crowds, ride rides with shorter lines than when the general public is allowed in at the published park opening time.

Now:  Availability of those hours for on-site Disney hotel resort  registered guests is being shortened-curtailed.

Read on at the link.

Let's just hope that this move positions Disney for some other offering. I would hate to think that this will be an ongoing trend, especially since things have changed (understandably) since the bottom fell out of the economy in 2008. I know that a business has to remain profitable, so certain changes, albeit unpopular, Have to be made. If this ensures that Disney will be around for my kids kids (and after), then these adjustments are worth it.
