Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Hey! I noticed tonight that the Disney Echo just went over the 3 1/2 million mark on our hit counter recently!
:clapping:

And last month we reached over 3 3/4 million! :clapping:

Alexa.com currently lists the Disney Echo with a top-ranked 5 star rating, a traffic rank up 369,398 over the last 3 months, and unique page views up 200% compared to three months ago!
:clapping:

What does that mean? Alexa.com explains...
Quote
Alexa's traffic rankings are based on the usage patterns of Alexa Toolbar users over a rolling 3 month period. A site's ranking is based on a combined measure of reach and pageviews. Reach is determined by the number of unique Alexa users who visit a site on a given day. Pageviews are the total number of Alexa user URL requests for a site. However, multiple requests for the same URL on the same day by the same user are counted as a single pageview.

And Alexa.com doesn't even count people using the AOL/Netscape and Opera browsers, so our "pageviews" is probably even higher.

Write your review of the Disney Echo and help spread the word!
:ear:

Using the Alexa toolbar also helps!

We're now over 4 million, 319 thousand!

And a big tip of the mouse-eared hat to Disney EchoEar Ray Jones for creating a great picture of Gadget at the Disney Echo data center, complete with a live, working hit counter!

Take a look at it here: Disney Echo welcome page.

Thanks, Ray!

I just noticed that if that page is viewed on a browser not set as wide as mine was that things to the right of the picture get covered up by it. That also happens on the iPhone where, in addition, the hit counter is a little bit too high. So, I'll have to work on it some more tonight. Thanks for the great comments, though!

I would be willing to bet in this era of myspace and facebook as word spreads about how great a website the Echo is, you'll find that number increase much faster! Ain't technology grand?

I was able to fix the problem on the Disney Echo welcome page where the picture was covering up some words if your browser didn't have a wide screen. Also, I found how to change the font of the hit counter to be much larger, and colored it green to match the lettering in the rest of the picture.

Those of you who have already seen the cartoon by EchoEar Ray Jones of Gadget Hackwrench at the Disney Echo Hit Counter computer system ;) ...take a look again!

See if you can see how her system has been upgraded here on the Disney Echo welcome page.

It ties in well with how the conclusion of chapter 2 turned out of You Make a Story II: Disney Treasure Hunt.

Let me know what you think of it! :ears:
