Yoo Hoo!  Welcome to the Disney Echo!

This section is How Do You Do And Shake Hands! and in this part we'll tell you how to register yourself on the Disney Echo so you'll be able to write messages and reply to them here.

NOTE: Anyone attempting to join in order to "spam" and/or putting a non-appropriate link in their profile will not be allowed to be an EchoEar.

NOTE TO THOSE WITH EMAIL ON VERIZON: Verizon is currently blocking email to its users from the Disney Echo. Because of that, WE CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR REGISTRATION USING A VERIZON EMAIL ADDRESS. Instead we suggest that you USE (OR GET) A FREE EMAIL ACCOUNT FROM YAHOO.COM, GO.COM, HOTMAIL.COM, ETC. AND USE THAT INSTEAD for your registration and Disney Echo Email notification. (See below for details.)

To everyone: Please ensure that you complete all the fields fully, taking particular care over the password fields. Also note that if your email address is with Verizon you'll need to use a different email account, such as a free one from,,, etc. because Verizon is blocking email from the Disney Echo to its users.

After registering, you will receive a MickEmail message, usually within a few hours (sometimes less, sometimes more) letting you know your registration has been validated. This message will be sent to the email address you provided when registering. Please wait for this MickEmail because until you receive it you won't be able to log in.

NOTE: Make sure your email box is not too full to receive email before registering for the Disney Echo, or you will never receive that email message (and then you won't know when you're able to post messages or reply to messages, and that's a bad thing).

Are you old enough?

This is a very important part of the < Disney Echo Rules >:

So how do I register?
Click the red < 'Register' > link here or in the grey bar above (only seen if you haven't logged in) to begin. Look through the rules and if you agree to them, click the 'I agree' button. Only three things are required when you register:
  • 1) Login Name -- You may use your own name or a nickname to log in. Be creative! It's all right to be goofy (unless that name is taken already!;)
  • 2) Password --  Here you can enter any password you desire (and then enter it again just to make sure on the line below it). After your account is validated (see below) you can log in at any time in the future using your login name and this password to change your password to something else. And if you ever forget your password, you can get a reminder MickEmail message sent to you.
  • 3) Email -- You must give a valid email address (and NOT one on Verizon... see above for details) because you'll be receiving an email at this address sometime after you check the 'I agree' box and click the 'Submit my registration' button. This is mentioned above. After receiving that message you'll be able to fully participate on the Disney Echo!

Do I have to register?
To join in on the fun of the Disney Echo, first register to give you a user name and a password which you'll use to log-in each time you come to the Disney Echo.
You only have to register once.  In fact, registrations are only one per person, please.
After you are registered, just login with your user name and password each time you come to the Disney Echo and then click the 'Messages' button, pick an area, then create new topics and reply to existing ones.
Does it cost to register?
Absolutely not!  Use of the Disney Echo (and MickEmail as well) is totally free.

Do not reply to this topic with general questions, or they'll be moved to the appropriate forum about your questions.  :uhoh:

This topic is only about registering to be an EchoEar on the Disney Echo.

The first message in this topic has been updated to reflect that the registration process has changed from the email notification system to having registrations approved or denied by me, to fight spammers.
