**PRIDE**! The Jesuit High School Blue Jay Marching Band and Jayettes Dance Team marched at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom the afternoon of Tuesday, February 17 (Mardi Gras for we New Orleans residents! ). Relevance: Our son, a senior trumpet player, was there! And so was Mom (me! ). On the webpage at the link you'll see a video.
First part of the video: WDW videographers.
Second part of the video, a height shot with Cinderella Castle in the far background and the Band and Jayettes marching towards and around Town Square: Taken by _me_ in HDR mode on my iPhone 6+ from the balcony of the Main Street train station. Jesuit HS edited the two together.
Bucket list item is now checked for a Disney fan family like ours to have a teenage child marching in a band at Disney! It's Dear Son's Senior year and no more chances to do this, and Dear Husband Rich had to work TV Mardi Gras parade coverage back in New Orleans and no one was allowed off from work.
Do please share our pride and happiness as parents!
( That iPhone 6+ sure can take some good video ! )

Part of the train station balcony overhead video I shot got paired with some rain video I shot at WDW for a weather segment on WVUE-TV Fox 8 New Orleans news. Ended up being a "working" trip for me and the iPhone 6+ camera! You see how cloudy it got in the video. We were blessed with Walt Disney "in the cloud" somewhere negotiating a deal with Mother Nature to hold off on downpours 'til the parade could finish, band instruments and performance uniforms off and stowed away in the cargo hold of three tour buses we took from New Orleans to Orlando. Then the band came out to rejoin their happy families... Ten minutes later the sky opened up and rains poured for the rest of the afternoon, into the night, and early the next morning.
Rich my husband works at Fox 8, all I originally intended was to show video of our son since my husband couldn't get off work to join us at Disney. Then I sent Rich video and photos "Lucky us, it's raining now but the parade got worked in!" And internally one thing led to another and part of my parade video and the rain video I shot ended up on the TV station 9 PM newscast in a weather cast on Mardi Gras night, a local band had gone to WDW and paraded when parades were going on in New Orleans, NOLA escaped rains and the NOLA band escaped the rain, too, but just barely. So people metro wide got to see our band and dance team on the news!
