Tabloidy RadarOnline.com has "exclusive video" of a gaunt and movin' kinda slowly and cautiously Apple CEO Steve Jobs leaving a restaurant with his wife. Radar is claiming this shows a very sick man who's physically unsteady. They replay the same clip within two minutes a number of times, including in slow-motion. The clicking you'll hear on the audio is what I'd guess is a high speed still camera clicking away frames. You also hear the sounds of breathing, somewhat heavyish breathing, of who ever is near this video camera's microphone. The whole thing runs just under 2-minutes.
I only bring it up due to seeing a link on this morning's Drudge Report. Steve Jobs is also head of Pixar, which Disney bought, as well as Jobs sits on the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company.
Apple has it's Annual Meeting of shareholders this week, according to what is written to accompany the video and there is a resolution to be voted on at the meeting that Apple announce a succession plan for when/if Steve Jobs were ever to leave being CEO. Recently Jobs announced he's going on medical leave again. A year or two ago he had a liver transplant, and is/was/allegedly is battling a certain rare form of cancer.
Tabloid publications and websites being what they are, they can write in a style that spins anything to be the worst about a person. Whether the truth is all that bad can be an entirely different matter.
So if you pray, or if you're more secular and just want to send out hope and encouragement vibes, keep Mr. Jobs in mind if he's that sick. He's contributed quite a lot to Disney and Disney corporate culture and direction, just with everything Pixar's ever done that Disney has distributed or now owns, bringing in Catmull and John Lasseter from Pixar to help at Disney's Feature Animation and Imagineering, and getting Disney to be more technologically attuned with interacting Disney content with iTunes and modernizing the Disney.go.com website, and more. Jobs leaving Apple as CEO, were it to happen, would probably be due to health, and would maybe also mean leaving any corporate board positions he occupies, including at Disney, meaning his influence and expertise corporately and technologically would be missed at Disney. Disney also has on it's Board one of the executives of Facebook, so Disney would still receive tech advice but from the standpoint of social networking uses.
