We're now over 4 million, 319 thousand! ...Take a look at it here: Disney Echo welcome page.

That was just a week ago. I noticed earlier today that now we're over 4,333,333! Actually as I write this, over 4 million, 333 1/2 thousand!

We're higher now than 4,333,333 but I like all those threes... reminds me of mouse ears if you turn your head sideways.

You know, it is great that we continue to get a high number of "hits."

But even better, the Disney Echo has not lost the "cozy neighborhood bar" type of feeling it has, with EchoEars coming together to share their feelings about Disney things -- and even other things they're thinking about -- in a friendly way, without "flame wars" with people "flaming" others like on some other Disney forums. That's just one of the things that's different about members of the the Disney Echo, creating an atmosphere similar to that "Cheers" TV show "where everybody knows your name" and treat all others with respect, even when at times we disagree with each other -- but EchoEars are great in the way they still manage to keep discussions at an adult level rather than resorting to childish name-calling.

A huge tip of the mouse-eared hat to all EchoEars who post new topics and replies, sharing the Disney fun, and making the Disney Echo the great place it is!

Now, just so I don't miss it, how would I know if I ever got "flamed"?
And, thank you, Rich, you do an awesome job!!!!!!!  I think I've been a member now for four years.

Internet "flaming" defined at Wikipedia.

I think it is great that in all the years you've been here, you haven't been flamed. :clapping: Here's to the great group of people known as Disney EchoEars!

Thanks for your kind words, Luann.

I just clicked on the flame link and as far as I know or can remember, I've never been flamed. That is pretty good! I know I can be annoying at times and people may want to flame me. ha

Carol and I were both flamed in a big way many years ago on Usenet's rec.arts.disney discussion group for being "too Disney" -- if you can believe that (around here, I don't even think anyone believes it is possible to be "too Disney") -- in how we were writing in such detail about how much fun a Disneyana convention we had been to was. Yup, we were flamed on a Disney discussion group for writing enthusiastically in a trip report! That hurtful flaming incident probably was the "one little spark" which led to the concept we brought to the Disney Echo of "post more like Mickey and less like how Donald Duck is when he's angry."

The Wikipedia article is right: You'll know it if you are truly flamed.

I'm so thankful to all the like-minded EchoEars that we don't have flame wars here.
