http://disneygeek.com

Hello all,

Posted pictures from Friday May 9th at the Disneyland Resort.  Highlights include a look at the Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure which was in a soft opening mode returning from several weeks of renovation.  It features some new sea creatures as well as paint and lighting in several scenes.   More pictures of the new "Land" merchandise (plates, glassware, coasters).  Plus a check of all the renovation projects going on around the parks and my usual assortment of random pictures as I roamed around.

I was at Walt Disney World from April 29 - May 5 and have started to post my full picture sets from the trip (http://disneygeek.com/wdw/pictures) .  So far Day 3 (http://disneygeek.com/wdw/trip_reports/2014/2014_04_day_03.htm) featuring the Disney Hollywood Studios 25th Anniversary festivities and Disney Springs construction as well as Day 1 (http://disneygeek.com/wdw/trip_reports/2014/2014_04_day_01.htm) looking at a 2 bedroom villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge -  Kidani Village and around the Magic Kingdom looking at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as well as the hub project are available.  Next up will be an extended look at the new Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom then I will move on to the remaining days.   I have summaries of all the days (http://blog.disneygeek.com/information/walt-disney-world-aprilmay-2014-trip-summary/) featuring trip logs and cell phone pictures on the Geek's Blog (http://blog.disneygeek.com) .  For all of you who followed along
thanks!

If you are interested in a video comparison of the Little Mermaid Attraction (http://blog.disneygeek.com/2014/05/10/the-little-mermaid-ariels-undersea-adventure-dca-2011-2012-2014-video/) at Disney California Adventure, here is a quick posting featuring a videos from May 2011, 2012, and 2014 (http://blog.disneygeek.com/2014/05/10/the-little-mermaid-ariels-undersea-adventure-dca-2011-2012-2014-video/) looking at the attraction as it originally opened, after a first round of updates, and the most recent renovation.

Enjoy,

Jason

We're so appreciative to disneygeek for periodically posting links here to his Disneyland fan website where he posts photos of the park frequently.  He also sometimes visits WDW, takes lots of photos, and posts them.  disneygeek is one of two Disney Echo Moderators ( TV Kirby moderates the Disney TV Forum and still periodically posts Disney parks and Cruise Line TV listings ) still posting on this site.

Unfortunately with the rise of social media ( Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, similar sites ) our own Disney Echo website has been seeing a decreasing activity rate since around 2010-2011.  I first began actively notifying visitors and guests and registered members to this trend in 2011.  I periodically keep this Topic freshened up, and if you click this link and find the newest postings you get great advice on where I recommend Disney fans go for actively posted Disney news, information, travel guidance and actively posting fan community.  In this way Disney Echo does continue to serve Disney online fans.

http://new.disneyecho.emuck.com/cgi-bin....t=17661

Our site is so slow now, our Moderators are pretty much all gone now, and even disneygeek and TV Kirby post less frequently than they used to.  Rich Koster, our site's Administrator, is no longer actively interested nor is he on Facebook as much anymore, and as a busy mom of a high school senior who needs to seek out, take entry SAT and ACT tests, and apply for a college to attend for next school year, I have my hands full off-line nowadays.

If you're reading this now, consider Disney Echo defunct, out of date, and not kept newsy, up-to-date, and no one to visit with, chat with, ask questions of, no one to help you plan trips about Disney with, etc.

At the link above I offer several sure fire 100% helpful and immediately useful suggestions to help Disney fans who love Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Disney anything and Disney in general find reliable and up-to-date info, news, travel advice, and social community to chat with online.

We thank profusely disneygeek for keeping Disney Echo in mind.  Visit his website for Disneyland and other photos he takes and posts !

Advice about and to disneygeek :

Any links he posts on our site are NOT hot links due to how our site's software and operating system works.  So clicking on any of disneygeek's links won't work.  So copy and paste any links he posts into your browser and "enter" that, and you should have no problem seeing his Disney fan website or latest photos.  We've asked him to post his links in a simple technique so they are hot links, but he forgets how.

HOW: The first line of a new post cannot be a website URL copy and paste... Write a line or two of text first to introduce your thoughts when you start a new post, skip a line space, THEN insert your copy-and-paste link.... Then skip another line space, and continue with text.  Further, if you want any links to work they have to be on totally separate lines, their own lines, with a line space between some text and your link and the next text.... Links posted in parenthesis won't work as hot links.  They are hard to read and see, and don't work as hot links unless you put them on their own separate lines for each link URL .  Like this....

Here's a line of text to start out a new posting... text, text, text... then

http://www.google.com

Then more text.

So here are disneygeek's various links, properly posted so they are hot links to his site :

If these still don't work then just copy and paste any URL disneygeek posts into your browser to see what he posts.    That's just plain old vanilla how the operating system that Disney Echo runs on works re : Getting links to work as hot links.   I further illustrated by creating a New Post Reply and posted the links disneygeek posted more technologically properly, so they are easier to see and click on as hot links.  See below.

We thank disneygeek for returning from time to time to let other Disney fans know of his photojournalism for the Disney online fan community and keeping Disney Echo in mind about who he includes.   However, in thought about just how defunct Disney Echo has become in 2014, trust me, so many have moved on now and even Rich my husband/Administrator and I no longer keep it newsy or up-to-date, if disneygeek wanted to move on from including us in his rounds of posting Disney Parks photos it would certainly be understandable.   :hearts:   Thank you disneygeek if you want to keep posting here go ahead, just don't expect much response compared to the past, you increase your response rate if you post your links to accomodate how our operating system works, and it's up to you whether to keep returning here to post or not.   :pixiedust:  :clapping:   All the best and many thanks to disneygeek !  :bowling:

So here are disneygeek's various links, properly posted so they are hot links to his site.  The way Disney Echo's operating system operates, you NEED this first bit of text first so your copied and pasted URLs will work as hot links, see below .  :

If these still don't work then just copy and paste any URL disneygeek posts into your browser to see what he posts.
