Keeping sheer enjoyment and peacefulness in mind, which do you feel is the best resort for adults?

Yoo Hoo, Trish!

You've created a great series of polls about what WDW Resorts are best for adults. Bravo!

Disney EchoEars, after voting, please add your comments in a reply about why you voted the way you did.

I would have voted for Port Orleans French Quarter for its cute recreation of the Vieux Carre (French Quarter) of New Orleans -- the part that people don't immediately think of when they think "French Quarter," that it is a living, vibrant community -- a residential neighborhood. Even though the serpent slide can get noisy because it is a favorite with the kids, there is still a beautiful hot tub far enough away from that part of the pool area to make it relaxing for adults (plus it gets my vote as the hottest hot tub in all of WDW).

So, why didn't I vote for it? Because Bon Famille, the POFQ restaurant is no longer open. While there is a jazz club still there and a food court, I think adults need a great restaurant at the resort.

My vote, then, goes to my second choice: Port Orleans Riverside. The bayou village lodgings as well as the mansion-style lodgings lend an air of peacefulness after a buy day in the parks. The room decor is pleasing to adults, even elegant if you are in the mansion area. There is a large liquor-serving lounge complete with entertainment as well as Boatwrights for a great meal (in addition to the food court). The way that the lobby and its entrance area are themed is very appealing to adults as well.

If we get to stay on-site this time around, we will most likely be staying in Riverside.  My partner has picked it out all ready!  Glad to see it gets a nod of approval!

I voted POFQ because it's the only one I have stayed at. :blush2:

The only moderate we've stayed at so far is CBR and my family loves it!!! If we can't stay at the Polynesian this Dec., we'll be at CBR again.  The reason I voted POR is that it would be the last place I think my family would enjoy, I feel it's not as kid friendly.  I'm sure it's lovely and I don't mean to step on any toes, just my humble opinion.  LOL

Coronado Springs is a wonderful resort for adults.  We have been there twice - with kids and grandkids and by ourselves.  We preferred it as a resort for just the two of us.  In April we will be staying at POR to try something new and different for us. :thewave:

I voted for Coronado Springs!  It's a beautiful resort and for a moderate I'd say it's the most "deluxe".  the grounds and theming are gorgeous and the pool is quite unique.  Maya Grille is an excellent full-service restaurant.  I'd say it's "deluxe resort quality."

We went for our anniversary once and they treated us to a drink at the lounge and a free dessert at Maya Grille.

Gotta say P.O. Riverside! My wife and I stayed there on our honeymoon, and we had a totally enjoyable experience! And the convenience of the boat to Downtown Disney made it that much better.  :shipcaptain:

I'll have to agree with Port Orleans Riverside.  My wife and I also stayed there on our Honeymoon and it was very peaceful and relaxing.  We also really enjoyed the boat to Downtown Disney as well.
