Yesterday, just for kicks, I decided to go to mapquest.com and get our driving route to FW from home.  According to them, it's only 1334.66 miles and the estimated time (without stops) is 21hrs, 42 min.  Not bad, I'm closer than I thought.

Well, I'm off to work to continue earning for this trip.  Ironically, work is closer to FW by .5 miles so there's that going for it as well.  I know, I'm nuts (DH thinks so too) but at least I'm happy.  hahahaha.

Have a good day, all.

:bump: I'm restarting this as a new topic. Originally Lisa Madamx's comment was attached to a different topic with a totally different subject, and it might be fun to have this idea as its own topic.

I have already made this trip to stay at Fort Wilderness and plan to go back again in 2012.

The distance we travelled was 1371 miles at a driving time of 23 hours and 29 minutes.  It was a long trip but totally worth the camping experience with my family.

I work for Marriott and can get great discounts but I won't give up the camping experience at FW.   :coonskin:

From my house to there it's 555.92 miles and almost 10 hours. Since we drive to DW all the time I know it will only take 9 hours to drive. Making it again in 23 days.

It's been a long time getting from here to there. It's been a long time, but my time is finally near.

From my house in Colorado it's 1909 miles.  Arrival at FW makes every mile worth it.

I'd have to drive 902 miles to stay at Ft. Wilderness, although I think I'd like the cabins personally.  :)

912 Miles from my house to FW...Not too bad.  The map says around 15 hours, but I know it takes a bit longer than that, especially driving a MH or pulling a trailer.  I usually plan on about 21 hours.  And that is a very long trip in one day.
