Who is planning a disney wedding/Honeymoon?  Where is your location and what is your date?   :happydance:
Also, I have a disney wedding question.  Is the GF an option for the honeymoon stay or do you have to pay extra for it.  I am considering either there or the Polynesian.  We are planning our event June 13 2005 at the Yacht Club Gazebo.

Isn't where the bride & groom stay for their honeymoon a la carte? I'd imagine you could stay at any Disney resort you want to.

Included in the wedding package is 4 night stay.  On the website it says that the resort has to be a moderate, however, I read somewhere else that some of the deluxe resorts were included.  When I inquired about a savannah room at AKL, Disney said that it would be a little extra on the total package price of the wedding.  I am not sure if it was because of the higher room price for savannah view or because of it being a deluxe resort.

Hi! We're not planning a Disney wedding, but a Vow Renewal! YAY! Our 20th anniversary is this June, but Clive can't get away for 7 days in June, so after much thought and discussion, we decided to do the Jan 2005 cruise that a lot of our friends will be going on, too, aaaaaand, we discovered that a vow renewal is only an additional $1,000!It's amazing! We get a ceremony at sea officiated by the captain with a pianist, flowers, and cake with Mickey and Minnie cake topper! We also get dinner at Palo's, champagne and strawberries, and a day at the spa....all included! Plus, all our friends will be there, too! Wow! When we first got married we called Disney as we really did want to have it in WDW, but they said no to all my ideas and suggestions....we almost did it anyway, but weren't sure if we'd be stopped halfway....LOL. Then our next idea was to have it onboard a cruise ship with a luncheon before saying bon voyage to our friends and family. Unfortunately Clive lost his job 4 weeks before, so we had to scrap that one. So now, we're able to have both! I can't even begin to tell you guys how excited we are and the planning is so much fun. I have learned so much abut weddings and vow renewals that I feel I could write a book. Our first wedding was done for under $500 and was beautiful, if I do say so myself. We saved a lot of money by having the ceremony in the gardens of a Hawaiian restaurant that let us have the earlybird dinner menu for our guests. All we had to do was have the ceremony an hour before dinner, which we did, and added a few bottles of wine. So we didn't have to pay for a church, reception hall or a band as the restaurant had a band and a dance floor! Our guests also purchased extra drinks from the bar. All for $7.95 per person, plus cost of the extra wine.

I am currently planning a vow renewal for Dec. 6, 2005 and we have 10 people invited. We are AP holders so we are doing it as an Add on and saving quite a bit of money. We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter but doing the vow renewal at the Polynesian's Sunset Pointe. Then instead of the cake cutting ceremony right after, we are having the cake delivered to 'Ohana's and having dinner there with family and friends. I am wearing my dress since the renewal is at 5, by the time we are done, it will be the perfect time for dinner. 2 days later we are doing the MK photo shoot. Can't wait to have the pictures in front of the castle!!!!
I am upgrading my bouquet to have hidden mickeys in it, the cake is being upgraded to include the white chocolate castle cake topper, and my tiara and veil will have hidden mickeys also. My dress is white with silver glitter all through it kind of like pixiedust!!!(I have lots of pictures if anyone wants to see!;))
I can't wait!!! I am having a ball planning everything. Since I didn't have a wedding ceremony at all when we got married, my darling husband told me to do it any way that I wanted.

Julie, for Intimate Weddings, the Grand Floridian is an option, but I believe it does cost extra.  Hope that helps!

Athena, Disney does do weddings and vow renewals aboard their cruise ships, so it’s definitely possible.  Cruise vow renewals are for 18 or fewer guests, so you can have it be an intimate thing like you are hoping for.  The cruise vow renewals include the officiant, a pianist, on-site wedding coordinator, bouquet for bride & boutonnière for groom, cake and champagne reception, dress steaming, confirmed dinner for two at Palo on renewal night, etc..  Here’s a link to Disney’s info about a cruise vow renewal: http://disneyweddings.go.com/site/vow/cru/cer/index.jsp.  Happy Planning!
