Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!
You've probably seen the various versions of "I'm a Disney EchoEar" pictures at the bottom of people's messages here on the Disney Echo. Here's how to use the Bride and Groom Disney EchoEars in your messages!
All those loving couples who are lucky enough to celebrate a wedding, honeymoon or wedding vow renewal at Disney can use these EchoEars ...
After you write a message in the "Shake Hands" area of the Disney Echo, you'll later see a reply message there, complete with a pair of Disney EchoEars as your welcome to the Disney Echo. If you mention that you're engage, going on a honeymoon, or about to renew your vows at a Disney Resort then write about that and you'll receive a welcome "gift" that will look like one of these:
So how do the "ears" appear on each message?
Well, they appear automagically! But like all computer magic, you need to use a "spell"... and here's what to do.
To make it so a version of these "ears" (complete with "I'm a Disney EchoEar" on them) appear at the bottom of each of your Disney Echo messages, you need to have an IMG tag in your Disney Echo signature. Now, here's how to add your choice of Disney EchoEars in your signature:
That's all there is to it!
- Select the "Your MouseControl Panel" link above ( Found under "> Welcome, YOURNAME" )
- Then select the "Personal Info" link
- Next, select "Edit your profile"
- Now, scroll down to the "Your Signature" area, and put your name in the box (if it isn't there already)
- Press your return key so that you're on a new line in that same box, and then paste in one line from these code boxes:
- For (Bride Disney EchoEars) use...
|Code Sample |
- For (Groom Disney EchoEars) use...
|Code Sample |
- Note, if there already is an IMG tag in your profile, just replace it with your new choice.
- Finally, press the "Amend my profile" button at the bottom of the page.
As a member of the Disney Echo, we don't mind if you use your Disney EchoEars in your signature wherever you want because they have our website address built into the image which might bring more Disney fans to share the fun here on the Disney Echo. You can put your Disney EchoEars on your own website (even put a built-in link to http://DisneyEcho.emuck.com attached to the image, if you're savvy to webpage creation) or use it in your signature on other places that allow the use of pictures in your signature (such as some other websites' message forums). Just copy the same code from the boxes above for the ears you like the best and use that as the source location of the image.
If you have any questions about any parts of this or simply would like me to change something for you in your profile, write a message with your question in the How Do You Do (It)? forum or send me a private Mouseke-message.
P.S.: After you've added your "I'm a Disney EchoEar" graphic to your signature, you may want to use it on a Disney Echo nametag similar to this one created by Becky / WebTink:
To see how to create a Disney Echo nametag of your own, see this message in the "How Do You Do (It)?" area. I think it is a great idea to help Disney EchoEars find each other -- even if you don't know they are actually going to be vacationing in the same Disney park when you are!
And I'll help anyone create their own nametag like that one (using your own name/log-in name and preferred style of Disney EchoEars) if you need me to.
