There is a show about "Bridezillas" on WE cable channel, about manic and highly controlling and highly out of control frantic brides preparing for their weddings.

Ever know any Disney bridezillas?  Anyone?

Yes I did. She was more of a Maleficent than an princess. Cake had to be positioned a certain way, went through 4 different unity candle store choices (spending what seemed like hours at candles), a whole change in the music format one day before the wedding. She even insisted that the invitations be sent out 6 months in advance. And no, mercifully, the bride and groom did not live together forever after.

You don't need to send the invitations out six months ahead, but these days with people getting increasingly busy a "save the date & we're engaged" notice needs to go out months in advance, so at least people know to mark your event on their calendars and not go off and do something else.  Everything else you wrote, my heart goes out.....
