A minor (or major, depending on how you look at it) change to our December trip itinerary...

We've decided to try for Hoop Dee Doo reservations for day 7 or 8 of our trip. We've actually never been to the show, not sure why, just never really got around to trying it out. So anyway, we're excited about our decision! I've added it to day 7 of our proposed itinerary, which is what we'd prefer. We'd do day 8 as an alternative though.

None of the ADRs are booked yet, so none of this is final. I'm hoping to get the ADRs we want & wondering if it'll be difficult, as its during a Free Dining promotion, so many folks will be booking ADRs who might not it the DP wasn't free.

We'll see! September 6 is my call date. I read that you can start booking online ADRs at 6:01am. If this is true, I could try online first & still call at 7am if there are any problems.

Here's the updated itinerary:

Magic Your Way Package:
8 Nights at Port Orleans Riverside (requested Magnolia Terrace)
9 Day Park Hopper
Magical Express
FREE! Disney Dining Plan (Basic)
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Sunday 12/6

Day 1 - Sat - 12/05
Flight - 10:20 am (JetBlue)
Arrive - 1:30pm
Check in, Epcot, Illuminations
Lunch: Riverside Mill Food Court (RMFC)
Dinner: Le Chefs de France

Day 2 - Sun - 12/06
Sleep in Morning, Magic Kingdom, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Breakfast: Kona Café, Polynesian Resort
Lunch: Snack
Dinner: Liberty Tree Tavern

Day 3 - Mon - 12/07
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Breakfast: Starring Rolls Cafe
Lunch: Backlot Express
Dinner: Sci-Fi Dine In Theater

Day 4 - Tue - 12/08
Epcot
Breakfast: RMFC
Lunch: Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, Norway
Dinner: Kouzzina, Boardwalk Resort

Day 5 - Wed - 12/09
Sleep in Morning, Magic Kingdom
Breakfast: The Wave, Contemporary Resort
Lunch: Snack
Dinner: ‘Ohana, Polynesian

Day 6 - Thu - 12/10
Animal Kingdom, Mid-day Break at Resort, Downtown Disney (Dinner & Shopping!;)
Breakfast: RMFC
Lunch: Yak & Yeti
Dinner: Raglan Road Irish Pub, Downtown Disney

Day 7 - Fri - 12/11
Magic Kingdom
Breakfast: RMFC
Lunch: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
Dinner: Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue (fingers crossed)

Day 8 - Sat - 12/12
Epcot
Breakfast: RMFC
Lunch: Seasons
Dinner: Boatwright’s, Port Orleans Riverside

Day 9 – Sun - 12/13 Pack up, Check Out,

Today I'm working on planning where I want to apply my Dining Plan points & what meals I want to use Disney Visa Reward Dollars to pay for (gotta love free money!;).

Having fun researching average meal prices, making spreadsheets, cutting them to fit in my PassPorter, etc!  :computer:  I'm such a geek!

What's fun is that is that with Free Dining plus my Rewards dollars, we won't pay a cent of "real money" for food for our entire trip. SO... We've added 2 TS breakfasts, a TS lunch & are still able to have a TS dinner every night, including Hoop Dee Doo.  :Piglet:

We will be eating constantly, but we like that!

90 days out, booked all my ADRs today! (Yippeee!!;) Got in everywhere we wanted & only had to compromise on one of the times I wanted (Sci-Fi).

Did everything online except the CP Package. Online went smoothly - started right at 6am & was done by 6:24. No ability to book online for the CP Package. I dialed at 6:59 & it took a minute to connect. Got thru at 7:00:28 (due to the menu) & my call was answered immediately, no holding. Got into Coral Reef & even got a decent time for my CP dinner (4:05). (I think the last time our CP dinner was so early we counted it as lunch!;)

Right now I'm *VERY* happy! So happy, I think I'll go make an ADR spreadsheet to celebrate! (I know, I'm a gigantic trip planning geek!;) Hooray!

Paid off our trip at AAA this week using the Disney Visa. So exciting that all we have left to do is go pick up our package & MVMCP Tickets a couple weeks before we go. Oh and shop. And pack. And cash in our Disney Visa Dream Reward Dollars. And....lots of other stuff! But the trip is paid for & everything is booked. We have all the ADRs we wanted, even Hoop Dee Doo & the CP Package.

52 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

31 days to go!!!! Lots of time to think about the remaining preparations, as I'm resting with my leg propped up this week. Over the weekend I was diagnosed with cellulitis on my left leg. I thought it was a rash, but it kept spreading & getting more & more painful. I ended up going to the E.R. to get it check out, which took about 5 hours! They think it started as a spider bite (actually 2 bites), not poisonous, but apparently they often cause infections under the skin.  I guess some people are more likely to react to the bites than others. Totally random! I'd never have thought it could cause so much trouble so quickly. I had to have I.V. antibiotics & take more antibiotics at home. I'm now on rest for several days. Its getting a bit better, but it still hurts to bend my leg or walk much. Its giving me lots of time to catch up on the Echo,  read Disney blogs, decide what to pack, etc.

We printed out our packing lists today & have been deciding what clothes we want to pack. I have to purchase a bunch of stuff, as I'm out of little toothpaste, low on hand sanitizer, etc. Its fun to buy all that travel sized stuff!  I guess we'll really need the hand sanitizer this time, as there's so much talk of flu this year.

We bought new lightweight collapsible backpacks for the trip. I hope I like them when they arrive. I have a small backpack that I love, but its a bit heavy, so adding a camera, a smartphone, a poncho & all my other necessities ends up too heavy. I got tired of carrying that the last couple years. I hope these will be an improvement!

Once we decide what clothes to bring, I'll start doing laundry & ironing stuff to pack. I am SO excited - in a month, we'll be on our way to POR!!!!!!!!!!! :TiggerWooHoo:
