Does anyone know if FW has put a TV in the bedroom of the cabins?  Since we are going with DD and her BF, we will need 2!  And if they have not, is there a cable hook-up in the bedroom?  I will bring a TV, if I have to...neither my daughter nor I can sleep without a TV (pathetic, I know).

Click on Jeff Spencer's signature in any of his posts.  He maintains a fan site about Fort Wilderness with a comprehensive FAQ about the cabins.

Checked out Jeff's site twice.  It doesn't say...and when we were there in '01, there was a space for one, but no TV.  I can't remember if there were hookups or not.  Like I said, I just want to know, because I have extra TV's around my house and will bring one if necessary.   :)

We stayed in FW cabin when our son was 7 or 8 or so.  I can't find our trip report, I think Rich took photos.  I remember there is a TV in the great room of the cabin.  What you can try:  Private Message Jeff Spencer who is the Moderator of this Forum.  Then Google Fort Wilderness Campground cabin photographs or descriptions.  Probably some Disney fan out there posted photos or YouTube videos of the interior that are recent, and that will answer your question.  Can also try Deb Wills' AllEarsNet.com and try "Resorts" "Fort Wilderness" and "search" for the cabins over there for information.

Yes, there is a TV with cable in the cabin bedroom and also a TV with cable and DVD player in the living room.  When my DW and I took our god-daughter in 2006 it was all we could do to get her to turn off the TV so that we could go to the parks!   :uhoh:

Thanks Daniel!  I know what it's like trying to get a teen away from a TV.  My DD is nearly 21 and is looking forward to this trip!!! :Oo:

Thanks...but the WDW portion of our trip got cancelled due to time constraints.  DD could only get 3 days off work and everyone (except me) wanted to go to the beach  :uhoh: So, NEXT YEAR, they will all pay...muah ha ha ha.  We will be doing a week at Disney.  Not sure which resort as yet...probably FW, probably cabins, UNLESS I buy a new pop-up.  :fireworks:

JacquiBee, if you do buy a pup I recommend that you visit the site called Popup Portal.  You can find tips and hints for all things related to Popups (ie, buying tips, setup tips, general information, customizing you pup, and lots of help with issues that you might encounter).

http://www.popupportal.com/

My DW and I enjoyed really camping at the fort in our Fleetwood Yuma pup.

Thanks for the tip Daniel!

Our first camper was a pup.  It was a 73 Apache Wareagle and we loved it.  Went to FW twice, Myrtle Beach, The Smokies...it was great.  But we outgrew it and moved on to a Class C and then a Class A.  Now, it's just DH and me and we are going to downsize.  Right now, we're even considering just getting an SUV tent, since I drive a Yukon!

I am starting the planning for the anniversary trip, so we'll see where we end up!
