Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Chris T. / Goofyteer remembers back during the '80s on the Bulletin Board System run at his local high school computer they used to have a game section, and its most popular game was the "Story" game, where people would do the old campfire thing about writing a paragraph to an existing story and then letting the next person add on a paragraph of their own, everybody adding on and on and on to it until it was either as serious or silly as it could get.

A lot of his favorite stories had them writing as themselves being the main characters all doing something in the story as a group, and it could get really fun (and lots of times really silly if we wanted it to be). He and I think this could be fun here, too, that Disney EchoEars might really like and enjoy participating in.

So, someone please reply and start a story that we'll add on to...

I am game!   Here goes!

One fine early December day, Marsha arrived in Orlando.  Driving down I-4 she and her daughter Christyn were exciting about meeting up with some of their friends from the Disney Echo to celebrate an early holdiay in the Magic Kingdom.    The meeting place was the Ceremonial House at the Polynesian Resort.   With minutes to spare, the Baughans pulled into the main entrance to WDW Resort, excited as always to see Mickey's smiling face and wave.  As they approached the turn for the hotel, suddenly....

Don't forget one of the great things about the Disney Echo is that you can go back at any time and edit your own posts and replies.

So, you can go back and fix that spelling error if you'd like. Then just MickEmail me and I'll delete your reply message where you describe the spelling error as well as my answer here!

....there was a loud trumpeted fanfare heard throughout the magic kingdom and a voice proclaimed "Announcing an unexpected very important visitor to the magic kingdom! Everyone make way!"

A large and fancy red carpet was suddenly seen rolling its way through the main entrance, where it accidentally bumped into Goofyteer's feet before rolling on. Goofyteer was confused as who was so important that a red carpet would be rolled out for them, as he had not heard of it happening there before. But he did feel relieved when he recognised the Baughans just a short distance away. He walked over to them and began to say a polite hello when suddenly the important person who was having the red carpet rolled out for them suddenly appeared in the distance strolling down it. And it was....

A LilMouse named Marcie was standing behind him, trying to get by so she could say Hi to all her friends, When she suddenly tripped over Scrooges cane. Making quite a ruckus, and causing Scrooge to drop a document from his hand. But what did it say? She could not see but who could?

True to form, the paper he held in his hand was a treasure map, which Scrooge had wanted to keep a secret up until now. Scrooge was on his way to a very important meeting with a few confidential business partners, persons also interested in money to be found. See, apparently there was a hidden treasure to be found somewhere in Disney World. This being an old treasure map, however, there were frayed edges and the spot in which the treasure was supposedly located was practically gone altogether, a hole was to be found in its place. Turns out the map was created by Walt himself and was left for his great-great grandchildren. But the map had only been uncovered recently. Word had that the map was found underneath a dusty, long forgotten prop from the Carousel of Progress! Others had heard that it was found elsewhere though, so no one's quite sure where it turned up.

The dusty, long forgotten prop from the Carousel of Progress that it was found under was... this Tiki statue (apparently misplaced when the Polynesian Resort was being constructed) and atop the statue were a pair of Disney EchoEars!

Written on the front of the mouse-eared hat, in cursive writing made with stitching, are the words "Julie / Julielizabet." Inside the hat, its label has this inscription:
Quote
Welcome to the Disney Echo, Julie / Julielizabet! We're all glad you joined the Disney Echo and are having fun with all of us here."

But some do say the map was found elsewhere, in...
